Onka comes from kaon, the Bisaya word for "to eat." Swap the syllables and you get Onka.
We're twin brothers who grew up as immigrants in London. Every trip back to the Philippines, Filipino food was what we looked forward to most. But the queues could be long, and at some restaurants a reservation was never clearly communicated or confirmed, so you couldn't be sure you had a table until you arrived. We wanted to change that.
So we built Onka. For diners, that means a confirmed reservation in seconds, without phone tag or a "we'll get back to you." For restaurants, it means a modern host stand: a live floor plan, a timeline, and a waitlist that all stay in sync, so the team can focus on hospitality instead of the booking book.
We're starting in Cebu and growing one neighborhood at a time, from table-service to full-service restaurants.
